RSS Important notice! Changes regarding national visa applications Added2023.06.05
Following the amendments to the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on the Legal Status of Foreigners which enter into force from July 1, 2023 please be informed that applications for issuing national visas for the purpose of employment are accepted through the Lithuanian visa application centers in the UAE until June 16, 2023. Applications for issuing national visas for other purposes are accepted through the Lithuanian visa application centers until June 23, 2023.
N.B.!
From July 1, 2023 applications for national visas for all purposes will be accepted only through the external service provider outsourced by the Department of Migration under the Ministry of the Interior.

A Law of the Republic of Lithuania on the restrictive measures in connection with military aggression against Ukraine is coming in force on 3rd May 2023. According to the Law acceptance of visa applications from the citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus by the visa services of the Republic of Lithuania abroad is suspended, with the exception of the cases when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania acts as an intermediary in issuing visas.

Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of the Lithuanian-UAE Business Council signed in Sharjah Added2023.05.05
On 4 May, the Lithuanian-UAE Business Forum was held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), during which the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (LPPARA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry on the establishment of a joint Lithuanian-UAE Business Council.

On 19-20 February, Minister of Agriculture Kęstutis Navickas, accompanied by Ambassador of Lithuania Ramūnas Davidonis, visited Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he held talks on promoting bilateral cooperation with H.E. Activities of the Minister of Foreign Affairs » Multilateral Relations »Today, at the signing ceremony of the high-level week of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, on behalf of Lithuania, signed the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction. Lithuania is among the 52 countries that have joined the High Ambition Coalition on BBNJ. The signing of the agreement, together with other member states of the European Union, will allow the ratification process to begin.
