The President of the Republic of Lithuania and the Minister of Foreign Affairs have extended their warm congratulations to the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of its 54th National Day.

In a letter addressed to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda expressed his sincere wishes for lasting peace, security and prosperity for the UAE. He highlighted the UAE as one of Lithuania’s key partners in the Arabian Peninsula and underscored the growing cooperation in innovation, high technology, culture, education and tourism, as well as the importance of direct flights between Vilnius and the UAE in strengthening people-to-people ties. The President also commended the UAE’s constructive role in promoting global stability and its mediation efforts related to Ukraine. 

Similarly, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys sent a congratulatory message to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE. In his letter, the Minister emphasized the deepening ties between the two nations, including growing economic cooperation, the results of the recent Lithuania–UAE Business Forum in Vilnius, and the expanding collaboration in fields such as FinTech, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and information technology. He also expressed appreciation for the UAE’s humanitarian engagement and continued efforts to facilitate dialogue and stability in the international arena. 

Both letters reaffirm Lithuania’s strong commitment to further expanding bilateral cooperation with the United Arab Emirates and to building a dynamic partnership grounded in shared values, innovation and forward-looking dialogue.

The Embassy of Lithuania in Abu Dhabi warmly joins these national greetings and extends its best wishes to the leadership and people of the UAE on this important day of unity and celebration.
