Lithuania extends congratulations to Bahrain on its National Day
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, extended his congratulations to the leadership and the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the occasion of Bahrain’s National Day.
In his congratulatory letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Lithuanian Foreign Minister underlined the strong and friendly foundation of relations between Lithuania and Bahrain, which has been consistently strengthened over three decades of diplomatic ties, guided by mutual respect and cooperation.
The Minister expressed confidence in the significant potential to further deepen bilateral partnership, particularly in the fields of information technologies, cybersecurity, digitalisation, clean and renewable energy, life sciences, and space. He noted that these areas provide a solid foundation for innovation, digital transformation, and modernisation.
This year, Lithuania and the Kingdom of Bahrain mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the United Arab Emirates is also accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Kingdom of Bahrain celebrates its National Day on 15 December.
