Ambassador R. Davidonis discussed the region's food security with representatives of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment

On 25 July, Ambassador of Lithuania to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ramūnas Davidonis met with Mohammed Mousa Alameeri, Assistant Undersecretary at the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.

During the meeting, bilateral economic cooperation between Lithuania and the UAE in the agricultural sector, innovation in this sector, and opportunities to strengthen cooperation in these areas were discussed. Ambassador also talked about the importance of food security in the region and the possible consequences for the Gulf countries of the grain crisis resulting from Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

Mutual views on the potential of bilateral cooperation in the export of agricultural products and the promotion of investment between Lithuania and the UAE, as well as the active participation of Lithuanian businesses in international exhibitions such as Gulfood in the UAE, were exchanged.
