Ambassador Davidonis presented copies of credentials to the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister for Protocol Affairs

On 18 October, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania Ramūnas Davidonis presented copies of credentials to H.E. Mr Abdulmajeed R. Alsmari, Deputy Minister for Protocol Affairs of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, Ambassador Davidonis discussed the growing interest of Lithuanian businesses in Saudi Arabia's market, particularly in the food and agricultural sectors, and the opportunities for strengthening bilateral economic and cultural cooperation.
Ambassador Davidonis is the fifth Lithuanian Ambassador accredited to Saudi Arabia. On 16 September 1991, Saudi Arabia recognised the re-established independent state of Lithuania, and on 31 October 2005, bilateral diplomatic relations were established.
